Cummins to celebrate opening of new Mississauga parts facility

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Cummins Eastern Canada is opening a new parts facility at 6950 Edwards Blvd. in Mississauga.

The company began moving the department from 7175 Pacific Circle on Feb. 1. The new warehouse will be used to store parts and will allow faster response times for customers and dealers, Cummins announced. It will also improve parts inventory capacity.

The company will be celebrating the grand opening of the new location Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m. Tours will be provided to visitors.

“This new distribution location will improve how we serve and distribute parts and components to our dealers and customers by offering extensive on-hand inventory and best-in-class delivery performance and availability,” announced Jeff Van Poucke, president of Cummins Eastern Canada. “It is conveniently located in close proximity to many of our customers and is staffed by team of Cummins professionals. This new location is equipped with industry leading inventory management systems and processing tools to ensure we optimize every aspect of the process.”

He also said the new location will be more environmentally-friendly.

The new location operates from 7 a.m. till midnight, Monday through Friday. Customers can enjoy TV and Wi-Fi while visiting.
