NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Jost International recently celebrated the production of its 500,000th fifth wheel in the US.

The fifth wheel was produced at the company’s Greeneville, Tenn. plant. It celebrated the milestone among customers at the Technology & Maintenance Council’s spring meetings.

Jost began producing fifth wheels in the US in 1999. It produced its 400,000th unit in late 2014.

Lee Brace, president of Jost International, said “In late 2014 as we were producing our 400,000th fifth wheel and planning our expansion, we had aggressive plans to grow our market share even more in North America. As a result of increasing fleet preference and expanded OEM positions we have quickly met the 500,000th milestone.”

The Greeneville plant was expanded by 12,000 sq.-ft. in 2015.
