Love’s offering tire inflation service while drivers fuel

by Truck News

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Love’s Travel Stop is now offering a new tire inflation and inspection service, while drivers fuel up.

Love’s TirePass is now available at 75 Love’s Travel Stop locations, with the remainder of those that have truck tire care centers to be online by August.

While the driver is fuelling at a TirePass fuelling lane, a trained technician hooks up the truck and trailer tires to automatic inflators stationed around the vehicle. Tires are inflated to the correct pressure. Drivers receive a report showing the status of their tires. Fleets can request monthly reports detailing all assessments performed on their equipment throughout the month.

“Customers have been asking for more tire maintenance services that don’t add time to their stops,” said Dan Jensen, director of tire sales and service for Love’s. “TirePass provides a crucial service without tacking on downtime. It’s a safety tool that can keep customers on the road by detecting problems ahead of time. The best part is it’s all done while the driver fuels.”

  • If tires are to be checked “cold,” I wonder about the accuracy of this service if tires are coming in “Hot.”
