Tallman Group acquires lease portfolio

by Truck News

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Tallman Group has announced its purchase of the assets of Tandet NationaLease’s lease portfolio.

The deal was closed Dec. 31, 2015 and makes Tallman Idealease one of Canada’s largest privately-owned truck leasing firms, the company claims.

“I am confident that the transition of service for current Tandet NationaLease customers will be smooth with the support of our multiple dealerships along the 401 corridor from Mississauga to Cornwall,” said Fred Hildebrand, vice-president, Tallman Idealease.

“The great working relationship between The Tandet Group and The Tallman Group goes back decades,” added Kirk Tilley, president of Tandet NationaLease. “This was a natural fit for both our companies and for the customers”.

Tallman Idealease now operates close to 1,000 medium- and heavy-duty trucks in its lease and rental fleet.

“We are excited to continue to grow and expand our leasing business, with this recent acquisition,” said Tallman Group president, Kevin Tallman. “We continue to leverage our core strengths and find opportunities to expand our business. We would like to thank the Tilley family at Tandet NationaLease for giving us this opportunity. Tandet is a highly respected company in the trucking industry and we are pleased they selected Tallman Group when deciding to sell their lease portfolio.”
