Trucks and equipment up for bid at December auction

TORONTO, Ont. – In the market for a new truck? If so, Ritchie Bros. may have the perfect set of wheels for you.

The world’s largest industrial auctioneer will be selling over 2,100 trucks, along with various types of equipment Dec. 7-8 at 3 Manchester Court in Bolton, Ont., northwest of Toronto.

“Our last Toronto auction of 2015 features one of the nicest selections of trucks and trailers we’ve ever sold in Ontario,” said Anna Sgro, Richie Bros.’ senior vice-president (Canada east). “We also have a great selection of construction, lifting and material handling equipment and more.”

The auction, which begins at 8 a.m. (EST) Dec. 7, will included over 190 truck tractors, more than 165 trailers, van trucks, compactors, excavators, skid steer loaders, wheel loaders, scissor lifts, boom lifts, tractors – you name it – all being sold for nearly 400 owners.

Items will be sold to the highest bidder with no minimum bids or reserve prices. Bids can be placed in person, online at rbauction.com or by a substitute bidder.

“The trucks we’re selling were purchased from Ritchie Bros. just last year and the trailers were purchased brand new. Both were used for just one contract, which ends Dec. 1, so we won’t need them anymore. They are well-maintained and ready to go to work for new owners,” said Mark Bradley, CEO of TBG Environmental, one of the companies with merchandise being auctioned off. “I’ve bought and sold with Ritchie Bros. many times over the years as projects start and finish. It’s an easy way to scale up and down quickly to suit the individual needs of a project. With Ritchie Bros. you have access to a great selection of used equipment at a fair price for both buyer and seller.”

Some of the specific highlight items being auctioned include:

•A 2015 Caterpillar 336F L hydraulic excavator
•A 2014 Komatsu PC290LC-10 hydraulic excavator
•A 2014 Komatsu PC390LC-10 hydraulic excavator
•A 2013 Komatsu WA500-7 wheel loader
•A 2011 John Deere 844K wheel loader
•Three 2011 John Deere 400D 6×6 articulated dump trucks

•A 2014 Peterbilt 579 sleeper truck tractor
•Three 2010 Peterbilt 367 dump trucks
•Two 2014 Case IH Maxxum 140 MFWD tractors

Just watch it when RB says “title in transit”. I bought a truck at the July auction and and am still waiting for the title.
