GOODYEAR BRINGS SMART FLEET PROGRAM TO CANADA

While at MATS I caught up with Jose Martinez, Goodyear commercial digital and solutions manager, to talk about the company’s Smart Fleet program, which as of this month is available in Canada. It’s aimed at small fleets and owner/operators who want the benefits of a national fleet program, but don’t have the truck count to qualify for one.

There is no cost to join and members enjoy perks such as consistent, published pricing across the Goodyear network, with tires available at prices a small fleet or O/O would be unable to negotiate on their own.

“The main purpose of the program is to give the owner/operator some of the same benefits we’re giving the big fleets,” Jose told me. “When they sign up, they become a national account of Goodyear, dealing directly with Goodyear. They get published pricing on tires, tire-related services and retreads.”

At ExpoCam, Goodyear will be offering some extra incentive to sign up. It’ll offer $25 off per tire on an order of up to 10 tires, below the already lower tire prices available through the program. You can read more on the program here.
