I’m proud to say that Truck News and our entire group of transportation publications is the exclusive media sponsor of the Ontario Truck Driving Championships to be held July 11-12 in Barrie. These driving championships – held right across the country – haven’t received the attention they’ve deserved in the past and we’re going to fix that. The driving skills that are on display at the championships should be better promoted to the industry and even to those from outside the industry.

We’re going to be covering the Central Ontario and the Toronto regional championships June 14, and following the journeys of the competitors as they vye for a spot in the provincials and then the nationals, which this year will be held in Atlantic Canada. Watch for a feature on this competition and the people who participate in the June issue of Truck News. Then, track the results as we report on the events, post video and celebrate the winners via social media and in our publications.
