DALLAS, Texas — The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) is taking a step in the right direction during this year’s annual convention.

In an attempt to make health and wellness a top priority for North American trucking companies, TCA is introducing the first annual TCA Challenge.

Eleven current officers of the TCA, equipped with a wearable FitBit activity tracker, will compete to see who can log the most steps during the three-day convention.

The winner of the challenge will win 20 FitBit devices to distribute to their fleet in order to strengthen the message of the importance of health and fitness in the industry.

Attendees can also compete—for bragging rights—in a general activity challenge by using FitBit or the Moves™ app using their iPhone or iPad.

Healthy Trucker (a division of NAL Insurance) developed the challenge. You can view the leaderboard at www.tcachallenge.com.
