WOODBRIDGE, Ont. – Consolidated FastFrate has named Michael Adams as its new vice-president of logistics and commercial development.

Working out of the FastFrate head office in Woodbridge, Ont., Adams brings more than 22 years of experience with Canadian Pacific in marketing and sales, asset management and customer service, and most recently as the lead executive of a midstream oil and gas logistics company in Calgary, Alta.

“Mike and I go back over 20 years, and I am excited about having him on board,” said Ron Tepper, FastFrate CEO. “Along with heading up Fastfrate Integrated Logistics, Mike will be a key player in transitioning our perception in the industry as a road and rail LTL provider to an organization that develops end-to-end logistics solutions to better manage our clients’ supply chain. We have quietly excelled in this more sophisticated, problem solving space…it’s time we let more customers know about it.”

FastFrate Integrated Logistics is a growing, non-asset based brokerage division of the company, with revenues that have tripled over the last year.

“Fastfrate has a national presence in Canada with our own facility assets in all major centers, coast to coast,” said Adams. “This is very attractive to US manufacturers and distributors shipping to Canada. Along with our network of premier carrier partners, we are about to launch a cross-border product offering that will give us comprehensive asset-based coverage across North America. This will be a game changer for Fastfrate and I am proud to be part of this organization as we introduce this significant addition to our service roster.”
