WILKESBORO, N.C. -- Lowes Transportation has recognized TransX as the only Canadian transportation provider to achieve Double Platinum Excellence for on-time service and overall performance for 2009.
Double Platinum recognition is awarded to a carrier exceeding service standards for both inbound and outbound moves for distribution centres and retail stores throughout North America.
TransX achieved 99.9% on-time service, according to officials, which was the highest on-time performance recorded in 2009 by any Lowes-approved carrier in North America. On hand to receive the award for TransX were Mike Berlet and Al Juselius, general manager and planning manager of TransX's Eastern truck load fleet, respectively.
