I would like to comment on the use of CB radios . This is a true story . I was traveling west on TCH near Perth ,NB in the early hours of a cool fall morning in 1999 when I heard someone call out on my CB . "hey west bound you got a copy?" . When I returned and said yes go ahead . He informed me that there was something on the road ahead of me and watch out it was large but he could'nt tell me what it was for he only seen it for a second . So to my suprise 3 or 4 kms west of that conversation I came across a large generator that was in my lane dead center . It was so large it had its own axle and hitch right there on the road and Of course I made a call to local law enforcement after I went by it. I cant help but wonder If my radio was not working or I just had it off what would have happened . I have been saved many times over the years by the radio just being on and not even talking on it just "keeping an ear on"as they say . CB radios have got to stay for SAFETY SAKE !
