EDMONTON, Alta. – Autocar, LLC, maker of Xpeditor low-cab-over-engine (LCOE) refuse trucks, has added 16 full-line dealers including its first dealer in Canada.

Calmont Truck Center in Edmonton, Alta., will serve as the company’s Canadian beachhead.

There are now a total of 38 full-line Autocar sales and service dealers. By July 31, the company plans to have the industry’s single largest authorized LCOE parts distribution network which will include 70 full line sales and service locations, more than 100 service locations and 200 Xpeditor parts supply locations.

“We have the one and only dealer network that is 100 per cent committed to LCOE customers,” notes Mike Popovich, vice-president of sales and marketing for Autocar.

“And today’s announcement clearly demonstrates that we are actively delivering on our pledge to have the best customer support in the industry.”

As the oldest vehicle nameplate in continuous production in the U.S., Autocar, LLC formed in July 2001, when parent company Grand Vehicle Works Corporation purchased the Autocar name and the Xpeditor truck line from Volvo Trucks North America, Inc.
