WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- A team of Canadian truck maintenance technicians have placed fourth in a North American skills competition hosted by Penske Truck Leasing. Bruno Dube of Laval, Que. and Mario Castagnier of Saint-Laurent, Que. were two of 1,250 Penske associates to take part in Penske’s 2012-2013 National Technical Challenge. The competition, which got underway in August, tests the skills of Penske’s truck maintenance technician workforce via hands-on and written assessment. Dube and Castagnier, representing Penske’s Northeast Region, placed fourth in the two-person Vehicle Systems competition, which measures knowledge of electrical and diagnostics systems.
The finals took place recently at a Penske facility in Winston-Salem, N.C. and an awards banquet was held at Penske Racing headquarters in Mooresville, N.C., where the winners were honoured and received prizes.
