TORONTO, Ont. -- What do Armour Transportation, Bison Transport, Challenger Motor Freight, Day & Ross, Kriska, M-O Freightworks and Wheels Group have in common?
They’ve all been named Platinum Club winners of the Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies awards program. Platinum Club members have been winners in the award program for six consecutive years.
It’s the highest honour a company can receive as part of the Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies program, which is run by Deloitte, The National Post, CIBC and Queen’s School of Business.
Joining the Platinum Club members among this year’s winners are Gold Standard members, including: United Van Lines and TransX. Requalified members earning their bread in trucking, include: Groupe Robert and Groupe Trans-West.
There was no shortage of suppliers among this year’s winners either. International dealer Tallman Truck Centre and lube/DEF distributor Wakefield Canada were Gold Standard members, while Fountain Tire was a Platinum Club member.
The 50 Best Managed Companies program rewards Canadian-owned and managed businesses with revenues of more than $10 million that have sustained a level of excellence and leadership.
