TORONTO, Ont. -- Two more Canadian fueling stations have added diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) at the pump in September, according to the latest report from price referencing site DEF Tracker.
Including the US, 30 truck stops began offering bulk DEF at the pump last month.
The national Canadian DEF pump price remained steady between August and September at 79 cents per litre. The price at US pumps dropped by one cent per gallon to US$2.76/gallon.
“Relatively stable raw material costs have reduced volatility in DEF pricing over the past two months, particularly in truck stop pump and tote sales formats,” said Chris Goodfellow, analyst at Integer Research. “We’ve also seen an increasing number of fleets installing mini-bulk DEF storage units and purchasing larger volumes of DEF.”
