SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- Eaton has appointed Tony Truelove as marketing manager for the company’s North America Truck operations. He is located in Galesburg, Mich., and will report to Tom Nellenbach, director of marketing and communications for Eaton’s Vehicle Group.
Truelove will be responsible for leading the planning, deployment and measurement of all marketing and communications programs for Eaton’s North American commercial truck business, which includes products for the bus and coach, linehaul, pickup and delivery, and vocational vehicle segments. In conjunction with product teams, sales and marketing and Vehicle Group leaders, Truelove will work to build and maintain organizational capability and branding to maximize growth opportunities, the company said.
“Tony is an experienced leader who will help us grow our North America truck business,” said Nellenbach. “He has successfully worked in all facets of marketing and business intelligence, from market analysis and launch programs to advertising, merchandising and training.”
Prior to joining Eaton, Truelove spent more than 20 years at General Motors, holding a variety of branding, marketing and strategic planning positions. Most recently he was the marketing manager for Chevrolet’s Silverado and Colorado pickup trucks. Truelove previously held positions with GM’s Cadillac and Hummer units, led the company’s marketing integration efforts for in-vehicle accessory components, as well as worked with regional dealer groups and consumers.
Truelove has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s in industrial automotive technology from Indiana State University.
