MONCTON, N.B. -- Funeral arrangements have been made to celebrate the life of Trailer Wizards’ vice-president, Atlantic Region, Dave Skaarup. Skaarup, 50, was killed in a motorcycle accident in Mexico Oct. 3.
“He was a loyal leader regarded for his honesty and integrity,” Trailer Wizards said in a release. “Employees described him as the kind of boss that cared about every employee and didn't hesitate to pitch in and be a team player.”
"A few things that I appreciated from Dave was the fact he never complained about anything, whether it be personal or business. Also, his loyalty to his team, friends and mostly his family," says Daran Ultican, senior sales representative in Moncton and long-term friend and colleague of Skaarup.
The wake and funeral will both take place at Calvary Tabernacle in Perth-Andover, N.B. (12 Legion Street Extension). Visiting hours will be from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Oct. 20. The funeral will take place at 1 p.m. Oct. 21.
Donations may be made in Skaarup's honour to Bannon Camp (a non-profit childrens' camp his family has been involved with) or to the donor's choice charity. Exact details and instructions for Bannon Camp donations will be available on the White's Funeral Home Web site (www.whitesfh.com).
