MISSISSAUGA, Ont. -- Ironhead Rubber Technologies has opened its first truck tire retread plant in Mississauga, Ont.

The 21,500 sq.-ft, three-chamber facility currently employs nine people – including a plant manager, office administrator, five retread technicians, one salesperson and one engineer – with the hopes of doubling that number over the next few years. At present, the facility is capable of processing 220 retreads in an 11-hour workday.

Ironhead is inviting all current and potential customers to visit its location and participate in a plant tour, where products, processes and overall commitment to quality are demonstrated, the company announced. The plant is located at 595 Kitimat Road in Mississauga. For more information, visit www.ironheadrt.com.
