Meritor launches aftermarket education campaign
LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Meritor has launched an aftermarket educational campaign that explains how the company’s aftermarket brake products and automatic tire inflation parts enhance safety and an operator’s ability to comply with federal regulations.
A free informational kit has been developed and is available to truck fleets and owner/operators.
“We want to help truck operators safeguard their drivers, vehicles, productivity and business by making sure their brakes and tires are up to regulatory standards,” said Terry Livingston, general manager, global product management and shared services, aftermarket and trailer, Meritor.
Among the tips, Meritor explains RSD-compliant friction material must be replaced with similar friction in the aftermarket.
“The safety advantage of the increased stopping power is maintained when truck operators replace worn OEM RSD friction only with OEM RSD friction,” Livingston said.
Canadian operators can access a free information kit by calling 800-387-3889.
