MUSKEGON, Mich. — SAF-Holland has introduced a new integral air disc brake axle system with the P89 wheel-end package, which it says is ideal for SAF air suspension systems.

The P89 is a “durable, long-life” system that’s easy to maintain, the company announced.

It accommodates up to two-inch offset wheels, allowing fleets to use wide-base single or dual wheel configurations. A wider bearing configuration helps distribute the load between the bearings, SAF says.

The P89 hub design incorporates the Integral bi-metallic rotor and uses matched-set bearings, which can be replaced with readily available standard bearings in the field. It also boasts an industry-standard premium spindle nut with right-hand threads, the company announced. The more robust spindle is ideal for specialty trailer applications.

The Integral disc brake’s advanced rotor and hub adapter design provides improved braking, reliability and low cost of ownership. The rotor features a series of ventilation channels to control temperatures. For more details, go to www.saf-holland.com.
