TransX receives first of 150 new Peterbilt tractors

WINNIPEG, Man. — TransX has taken delivery of the first of 150 new Peterbilt 579 tractors the company will be deploying.

Company president Louie Tolaini accepted the keys from Peterbilt Canada’s Matt Preston, at the Peterbilt Manitoba dealership.

The trucks are equipped with the new Smart Advantage powertrain package from Cummins and Eaton. TransX is hoping to see a 5-7% fuel economy improvement with the optimized powertrain.

Officials from Eaton, Cummins, Peterbilt, TransX and DeckX were on-hand for the delivery of the first truck.
