NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Two Bandag retreads have been approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for inclusion in its SmartWay program.

The B710 FuelTech (drive) and B197 FuelTech (trailer) retreads have been added to SmartWay’s new low rolling resistance retread list.

“We are constantly striving to develop eco-friendly products and processes while meeting the fuel-saving needs of our customers,” said Bert Jones, manager, product marketing, Bridgestone Commercial Solutions. “Customers can maximize the rolling resistance benefit when pairing a SmartWay verified retread and casing, particularly the Bandag FuelTech product with a Bridgestone Ecopia casing.”
