WAYNE, N.J. — BP Lubricants USA Inc. has introduced Castrol Hypuron S, a high-performance partial synthetic diesel engine oil designed for heavy-duty engines. Blended with a precisely engineered partial synthetic base stock, Castrol Hypuron S is designed to provide superior performance and protection for engines while enhancing component and equipment life, lowering maintenance costs and increasing profitability.

Company officials say the superior performance of Castrol Hypuron S allows fleets to extend service intervals while maximizing equipment life, therefore reducing total cost per mile.

Officials also say the oil provides exceptional dispersancy to manage the higher soot levels generated by EGR engines, and robust detergency to neutralize higher acid levels. Castrol officials say the oil meets the newest specifications from both Mack and Caterpillar, and it surpasses the ideal performance requirements of many other engine manufacturers. Formulated with low ash technology, Castrol Hypuron S is designed to minimize oil consumption, reduce piston deposit formation and increase oil film strength.
