Hutch Systems launches certified ELD

by Truck News

ABBOTSFORD, B.C. — Hutch Systems a B.C.-based company has recently earned the distinction of being Canada’s first manufacturer to launch a certified Electronic Logging Device (ELD) that meets the ELD mandate published in December 2015 by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration of the United States Department of Transportation.

The mandate outlines that in order to be compliant all drivers operating in North America must have an ELD system installed and operational on or before the December 2017 deadline. Hutch’s ELD is compliant with both US and Canadian regulations.

Hutch exhibited its ELD product at Truxpo 2016, Western Canada’s largest trucking event and received a great deal of interest from trucking companies in attendance at the event.

Chief executive and co-founder, Rohit D’Silva affirmed that his team engineered their products to meet both Canadian and US customer needs, incorporating the Hours of Service rules of both countries and pricing the products to make them affordable to a wider customer base.
