Kenworth producing natural gas-powered T680
KIRKLAND, Wash. — Kenworth has announced availability of its T680 highway tractor in a natural gas configuration.
The T680 can be had as a day cab or with a 52- or 76-inch sleeper. It comes with a Cummins Westport ISX12 G natural gas engine rated at up to 400 hp and 1,450 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine can run on either liquefied or compressed natural gas.
“The new, natural-gas powered Kenworth T680 especially appeals to truck fleets and operators interested in low cost of operation opportunities from the effective combination of the T680’s fuel-saving aerodynamics and cost-efficient natural gas fuel,” said Andy Douglas, Kenworth national sales manager for specialty markets.
