New tire designed for urban delivery fleets

by Truck News

AKRON, Ohio – Goodyear announced its new Endurance RSA tire April 25, which is geared toward vehicles that split time between highway and city driving.

The tire targets more regional urban delivery fleets and offers such benefits as long miles to removal, traction to fuel efficiency, retreadability, lower rolling resistance and more resistance to curb impact damage than its predecessor, the Goodyear G661 HSA.

“The Endurance RSA is our best all-around tire for regional and urban delivery applications,” said Norberto Flores, Goodyear marketing manager. “And it is an important part of the Goodyear Total Solution, which helps fleets lower their operating costs.”

The new tire also provides Goodyear’s IntelliMax Rib technology, an innovative tread design, steel casing with super-tensile steel belts, a dual-layer tread compound and premium casing.

“Regional and urban delivery fleets encounter a wide range of road conditions and challenges,” said Flores. “They want a tire that can rise to every occasion. We believe the new Endurance RSA more than fits the bill, and will become the preferred tire for these operations.”

The Endurance RSA comes in size 11R22.5 with load ranges G and H. Goodyear will introduce more sizes throughout the year.
