New Wabco system wirelessly monitors tire pressure

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – PeopleNet announced the integration of Wabco’s tire pressure monitoring system March 21, enabling users to ensure optimal tire pressure by wirelessly providing in-cab updates of tire pressure from each wheel.

“Working with Wabco gives our customers more choice when they are looking to add a tire pressure monitoring solution,” said Tom Fansler, executive vice-president of product for PeopleNet. “Wabco’s industry-leading technologies and commitment to safety make them an ideal partner.”

In addition to safety benefits, PeopleNet said Wabco’s Integrated Vehicle Tire Monitoring (IVTM) system helps extend tire life by up to 20% and reduce fuel consumption by 2%.
