SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Pressure Systems International (PSI) says it has increase the number of permanent employees at its tire inflation system manufacturing facility by 23% in 2012, following a 21% increase in 2011.

The San Antonio, Texas facility is where PSI builds the Meritor Tire Inflation System. The company said its heightened staffing levels reflect record demand for the tire inflation system.

PSI says its 2012 sales were the highest in the company’s history and that it expects 2013 to be even better. In the US, 92% of fleets using automatic tire inflation systems are using the MTIS by PSI system, the company reports.
