CYPRESS, Calif. — Toyo Tires has announced the introduction of a new SmartWay-verified drive tire.

The Toyo M650 is designed for regional-haul service and higher torque operating conditions, the company announced. The unique design offers traction and even wear while meeting EPA standards for low rolling resistance.

The tire uses Toyo’s E-balance technology to extend casing life and reduce fuel consumption. The rib/lug pattern has a deep tread depth of 28/32”.

“The new M650 combines drive traction with low rolling resistance for regional haul trucks,” said Lowell Slimp, senior product manager, commercial truck tires, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.   “This helps to further expand the SmartWay verified offerings from Toyo Tires, giving commercial truck operators a greater selection when outfitting their rigs to meet their specific needs.”
