FENTON, Mich. – Webasto has announced today that its SmarTemp Control is now available as a factory-installed option on Freightliner Cascadia and Cascadia Evolution models.

SmarTemp Control is designed to work in conjunction with Webasto’s Air Top 2000 ST bunk air heater.

“This is such an exciting OE partnership for us. To have the SmarTemp Control offered on a truck that top fleets depend on and recommend is a testimony to the high level of design, engineering and testing we put into the product,” said Webasto Thermo & Comfort president and CEO, Dr. Rolf Haag. “To achieve this less than one year after the launch of the SmarTemp in the aftermarket is a great accomplishment.”

In addition the new product delivers precise temperature control, and maintained constant bunk temperatures which leads to fuel savings. The company added that it is very simple to use and can display temperatures in Fahrenheit or Celsius temperature scales.
