Tote refill DEF prices drop slightly in August: DEF Tracker

TORONTO, Ont. — Average tote refill prices for diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) dropped slightly in August, according to the latest data from DEF Tracker, which monitors the fluid’s pricing in the US and Canada.

In the US, the national average for tote refills dropped six cents to US$1.91/gallon in August. In Canada, prices dropped by two cents to 57 cents/litre.

Truck stop prices stayed steady, at 80 cents/litre in Canada, where prices have sat since October 2011.

Thirteen of 33 new pumps distributing bulk DEF in North America are located in Canada, DEF Tracker reported.
