CALGARY, Alta. – The newly formed Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) is set to elect its first official board of directors.

The AMTA plans to outline the election process at the next regional council meeting, where each regional council will elect one representative to the board.

Elections for the six regional directors will be held at the April meetings. Members must submit nominations for regional directors in writing to the AMTA and they must include the signed consent of the nominee.

Lane Kranenburg, executive director of the AMTA, says he has to receive the nominations three days prior to the regional meeting.
