April’s load volumes fell by 12% month-over-month, but year-over-year, the volumes showed growth – up more than 40% from the same time last year. These volumes are the highest recorded for the month of April since TransCore began recording data.

A positive trend is showing in regards to the available equipment postings, rising 10% from March.

Truck levels, however, remain low (12% year-over-year) in comparison to 2013.

In addition, cross-border postings accounted for 70% of total load volume; cross-border loads going from Canada to the US went up by 72% year-over year; and loads from US going to Canada increased by 23% year-over-year.
