MONCTON, N.B. — The Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association (APTA) and the Canadian Trucking Human Resources Council (CTHRC) will have their 12-week training program in full swing starting July 6.

Based on the CTHRC’s Earning Your Wheels program, the ‘eastern-ized’ version has received the full support of the New Brunswick government.

For people receiving financial assistance who want to attend the program, the N.B. government will provide support to offset tuition and living expenses. While shorter courses do exist, government aid will not apply.

Various trucking companies have agreed to take to take students of the program and put them behind the wheel to complete the training process.
