BCTA offers inGauge benchmarking service to its members

by Truck News

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The B.C. Trucking Association (BCTA) is the latest organization to join forces with Truckload Carriers Associations (TCA) to offer its members the inGauge Online Performance Benchmarking Service.

StakUp and TCA created inGauge to anonymously compare operational results on approximately 30-50 performance metrics against a chosen peer group, and share best practice knowledge to enhance future results.

“Our members have been telling us that being competitive is key to success,” said Louise Yako, BCTA’s president and CEO, “but there isn’t always good data available. inGauge’s benchmarking protocol will let members gauge their performance against that of their peers and, at the same time, set up internal goals.”

In addition, inGauge says it will also target specialized sectors. For example, intermodal and refrigerated service providers within BCTA have expressed a desire for timely and aggregated information to improve cost efficiencies.

“Not knowing where you stand could mean falling behind,” Yako said. “We’re pleased to offer this additional benefit to members.”

Until August 31, 2016, BCTA members can evaluate inGauge, free of charge, compliments of the BCTA. After August 31, BCTA members automatically qualify for a significant discount to the regular subscription fee.
