ROANOKE, Va. — Blue Tree Systems has announced its R:COM temperature management system has been approved for both one-way and now two-way communication with all DataTrak-equipped Carrier Transicold transport refrigeration units operating in North and South America. The R:COM System can connect to and remotely control all Carrier single and multi-temp truck and trailer refrigeration units using microprocessor control systems dating to 1996, according to the company.

“We have been providing our industry-leading R:COM temperature management system for over 12 years in both Europe and the US and we are delighted that we can now offer our robust advanced remote control reefer functionality to our US customers for their Carrier Transicold units,” said Charlie Cahill, CEO of Blue Tree Systems. “Carrier customers will now have improved capability to control their reefer operations and safeguard their temperature sensitive cargos.”

The approval provides customers with Carrier Transicold units remote control functionality for their units, including the ability to change set-points, clear alarm codes, and perform pre-trips, according to Blue Tree Systems officials.
