TORONTO, Ont. — Canadian firm Spectra and U.S.-based Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems are now jointly offering SureStroke, an air brake diagnostic aid and visual brake stroke indicator system.

SureStroke is actually the Bendix private label version of Spectra’s Brake Safe product line, which has already achieved a great deal of market acceptance north of the 49th parallel. The introduction of SureStroke was made at the recent TMC meeting in Nashville, Tenn.

“This high powered, high profile gathering provided Bendix with the prominent exposure needed in introducing this key safety and maintenance diagnostic aid,” says Andrew Malion, chairman of Spectra.

According to Spectra, Bendix has expressed interest in expanding distribution of SureStroke outside of North America and have commenced discussions with Spectra for the opportunity to distribute and market additional products Spectra has under development.
