CILTNA to host conference this month

OTTAWA, Ont. — The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport North America (CILTNA) is holding a conference on November 14, 2016.

According to the organization, the theme of the conference is “Current and Future Innovation in Transportation.” The event is set to take place at the Sheraton Ottawa Hotel in downtown Ottawa.

The conference will hear two panels. One will be on autonomous vehicles and the regulatory framework and issues that must be considered in allowing these vehicles on the road.  The second panel is titled “Logistics Hubs – If you build it, will they come?” will focus on the development in several communities and industry sectors of logistics hubs with four speakers discussing the factors that must be considered in attempting to establish a hub and success stories in fulfilling the objective of creating employment and wealth in the communities

“This 1/2 day event is an excellent opportunity for those in the transportation sector interested in the impact of driverless vehicles on communities and economic sectors” said David Church, chairman of CILTNA’s Ottawa Chapter.
