VAUGHAN, Ont. — Consolidated Fastfrate opened its new Canadian head office and freight forwarding facility yesterday as part of the company’s 35th anniversary.

The new 180,000-sq.-ft. cross-dock facility is located within the Canadian Pacific Railway transportation complex in Vaughan, Ont., north of Toronto.

It is designed to handle domestic intermodal containers and employs more than 250 people.

“Our strategic location in the Greater Toronto Area allows us to fully utilize the road and rail network and provide cost efficiencies to our customers,” says Ron Tepper, company president and chief executive officer.

Consolidated Fastfrate is a less-than-truckload (LTL) company.
