MONTREAL, Que. — Conformit Scur-Route Inc. (C.S.R.) is now the sole authorized reseller of the TDSM Log Scanning System for the province of Quebec.

C.S.R. is a relatively young company, having only been in business for a little more than a year and a half. It is confident the system will be well received by fleets.

“TDSM’s Driver Log Scanning System scans 800 to 1000 driver logs per hour,” says company spokesman Philippe Sauv. “Our system performs hand print recognition on driver logs using the latest intelligent character recognition (ICR) technology.”

In addition to reading the duty status grid and checking for completion, the system identifies errors based on user defined preferences. Driver/vehicle inspection report information can also be checked for completeness.

“Our Log Scanning System can also be configured as a stand-alone system that will provide driver log scanning and auditing reports,” he adds. “The Scanning System may also be used to front end other third party driver log auditing systems.”

The system operates on Windows 95/98 and NT platforms and has multi-user capacity.
