CUMMINS LAUNCHES 330HP ISL
COLUMBUS, Ind. — Cummins has announced availability of a new engine for the transit market: the 330-horsepower ISL.
“The ISL 330, an 8.9-liter engine, offers unequaled performance as well as industry-leading fuel and maintenance costs for outstanding bottom-line results for our customers,” says Clark Ahrens, general manager of Cummins’ worldwide bus business.
“This compact 1,550-lb engine has been designed for 60-foot articulated buses and 40-foot models that have higher performance requirements.”
The ISL provides integrated electronic features to optimize fuel, lube, cooling, air and powertrain performance while also tracking of vital statistics for the driver, technician and operations manager.
The engine is compatible with all Cummins electronic tools such as INSITE(TM) for troubleshooting and repair.
