Cummins to showcase new technologies on North American tour

by Sonia Straface

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Cummins has announced its plans for a mobile tour of its products and technologies this week at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky.

Dubbed the “Cummins Redefining Tour,” the event will feature a fleet of Cummins ISX15-powered heavy-duty trucks and will visit dozens of cities across North America beginning this summer and going through to the fall.

The tour will allow customers to speak with Cummins experts and representatives to learn about new technologies like the ADEPT suite and Connected Diagnostics. In addition, those who attend the tour will view the real 2017 prototype engine powering the fleets on tour.

“We are very excited to announce the 2015 Redefining Tour,” said Amy Boerger, vice-president, North American Engine Business. “The Cummins powered fleet not only demonstrates our products in a real-world application, it also allows us to bring the product demonstrations and displays directly to our customers – some of whom we don’t have the opportunity to engage with on a regular basis.”

Dates and cities the tour will be stopping in will be announced soon, the company says.

To track the fleet’s progress, look at photos and learn about the products and technologies showcased on the tour, patrons can go to the tour’s official Web site at www.cumminstours.com. Alternatively, those interested can follow the tour on Twitter @cumminstour.
