by Truck News

HAMILTON, Ont. – Dalton Timmis Insurance Group has announced earlier this week that it has acquired the shares of Mainway Hunter Creighton Insurance Brokers.

Dalton Timmis says the acquisition of Mainway will increase the size of its brokerage to in excess of $150,000,000 in written premiums, with 145 employees.

“The fit that I found with the partners of Dalton Timmis Insurance allowed me to make sure that my legacy in the insurance community will outlast my daily participation in it,”said Mainway Hunter Creighton’s owner, Dominic Albanese. “I am very happy for my staff and will be on board for a couple of years to watch them transition into the Dalton Timmis Team.”

The firm will continue to specialize in transportation, commercial and specialty lines Personal Home and Automobile insurance across Canada, and the transaction will be effective on April 30th, 2015.
