TORONTO, Ont. — There are now 13 Canadian truck stops offering diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) at the pump, with an average price of 80 cents per litre, according to the latest issue of DEF Tracker.

In the US, the national pump price for DEF remained steady between December 2012 and January 2013, at US$2.79 per gallon. There are 898 truck stops offering bulk DEF at the pump in the US.

Tote refill deliveries in the US saw a five cent per gallon drop in January, based on data DEF Tracker collected from 10 pricing hubs.

Integer Research, the publisher of DEF Tracker, will be offering a series of free Webinars on effective DEF purchasing, to be held in March. Fleet topics will include: how much DEF will my fleet use?; what is the most cost-effective method to purchase DEF?; what drives DEF pricing and how does this affect my business?; and how can I get the best deal from my supplier?

To sign up for the Webinars, e-mail publications@integer-research.com with the subject line of ‘DEF Tracker Webinar.’ There will also be a Webinar for distributors. Specify which of the Webinars (fleet or distributor) you are interested in attending in the e-mail and organizers will provide the date and times.
