Doug Harrison to join VersaCold as president, CEO

VANCOUVER, B.C. — Doug Harrison, the high-profile chief operating officer of Day & Ross Transportation Group, is leaving the company to join VersaCold as its new president and CEO.

VersaCold is Canada’s largest warehousing and logistics services company focused on temperature-sensitive products. Its services include dedicated warehousing, freight brokerage, dedicated carriage and LTL, truckload and intermodal transportation.

VersaCold also acts as a 4PL and master distributor for certain customers.

Harrison begins his new role June 10.

“I very much enjoyed my time at Day & Ross; over the last two years we saw an increase in service levels an improvement in our operating metrics and built closer relationships with our clients,” Harrison told Trucknews.com. “At VersaCold, I am excited to be joining the largest player in the sector and will be focusing on growth and adding futher capabilities and value for our customers. VersaCold has a unique market position that will allow us to build our capability and leverage the companies size and proud history.”
