EQUIPMENT MAKERS NET US$11.25 MILLION: SURVEY

FARMINGTON HILLS, Miss. — A study by the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) shows the typical U.S. truck-equipment maker has sales of US$11.25 million a year.

As well, the manufacturers have on average 113 employees, says the 2001 Manufacturers Employee Compensation Report, a survey of the NTEA’s membership.

The survey was conducted and compiled by the Profit Planning Group, a Boulder, Co.-based research company.

The report, which also analyzes executive and employee compensation practices, including bonuses and benefits, is available for US$100 to NTEA members and $200 for non-members.
