Fleet Sentiment Survey confirms tightening capacity at truck fleets

COLUMBUS, OH – Conducted in July by CK Commercial Vehicle Research (CKCVR), the Q3 2014 Fleet Sentiment Report survey validates the tightening shipping capacity at truck fleets.

Those who took the survey indicated in their responses regarding a fleet’s capacity versus its demand ratio there is little available capacity for new freight and that they would add equipment if only they could hire qualified drivers.

Despite the CKCVR’s Q3 FSR Buying Index falling to 83.3 (impacted because of a smaller percentage of fleets planning to purchase equipment in the next three months), survey respondents reported good business conditions overall.
