SPRINGVILLE, Ala. — Trailer manufacturer Fontaine Heavy-Haul has named Neil Robertson as director of research and development.

He will report to president Randy McGuire, the company announced.

“We’re delighted to have Neil on our team; with almost 30 years in the trailer industry he brings a broad depth of experience to Fontaine Heavy-Haul,” said McGuire. “He really understands this business from the ground up and has earned his reputation as an innovator and problem-solver.”

Robertson has served various roles in engineering, design and management of trailer manufacturing companies in the U.K. before moving to the US in 2007. In Europe, he owned his own trailer business.

Fontaine Heavy-Haul is the business unit of Fontaine Trailer focused on lowbed and extendable trailers.
