PRINCETON, B.C. — An out of control forest fire continues to rage southwest of Princeton, causing traffic delays on Hwy. 3, despite the fact it has now been partially reopened.

The fire began when a motor home burst into flames, and has since spread to cover 300 hectares.

Originally, Hwy. 3 was closed altogether, but now it is open to alternating lane traffic. Reports indicate the situation is resulting in a slow go for truckers.

Firefighters are continuing to battle the blaze, and hope the highway can soon be reopened in both directions.
