SAVANNAH, Ga. — Great Dane has announced a range of promotions and additions to its sales management team, designed to better align with the company’s strategic sales and customer service goals, the company said.

Dave Gilliland has been named vice-president of national accounts, where he will oversee the company’s national account sales team. A long-time industry veteran, Gilliland most recently served as Great Dane’s vice-president of branch sales and operations.

Frank Stewart has been promoted to vice-president of branch sales. In his new Savannah-based position, Stewart will be responsible for new and used trailer sales throughout the company’s branch network. Stewart previously served as branch manager of Great Dane’s Little Rock and Memphis branches.

Tony Neven has been added to the aftermarket group as aftermarket service Manager. In his new position, Neven will be responsible for spearheading the growth and development of the Great Dane service network, with a primary focus on developing the AdvantEDGE service program. He will also support the service efforts of the Great Dane domestic and international branch and dealer network. Neven has over 30 years of trailer industry experience including owning his own trailer service business.

As part of its sales management realignment, Great Dane also announced enhancements to its independent dealer and international sales team. More regional sales directors have been added and new territories have been strategically assigned across the US, Canada, Mexico and South America, company officials said.

Rob Fortney has rejoined the company in a new role as a regional dealer sales director, responsible for Great Dane’s northeastern US dealers and Canadian dealers. In addition to his previous Great Dane experience, Fortney also served as branch manager at MHC Kenworth, and before that as general sales manager at Wabash National.

Chuck Yocom is now regional dealer sales director for Great Dane’s Midwest and western US dealer network. Prior to his current position, Yocom served as Great Dane’s Midwest District sales manager and most recently as branch manager of Great Dane’s Indianapolis branch.

Also named dealer sales directors in the new structure were John Schmidt and Mike Wright, who will maintain their current roles. Schmidt is responsible for supporting Great Dane dealers in the southwest US and Latin America, while Wright will continue to lead inside sales support for the company.
